Suwon Day Trip: Library & Fortress
Combining the towering bookshelves of the Starfield Library with the cherry blossom walls of the fortress is a popular "Modern & Traditional" route. To avoid rushing, the key is using Hwaseo Station instead of Suwon Station, as it is much closer to the library.

5:00 PM | Haenggung-dong (Cafe Street)
Descend from the walls into the Haenggung-dong neighborhood. It is full of trendy "Hanok" style cafes and small boutiques.
Pro-Tip: Many of these cafes have rooftop seating where you can look back at the fortress walls and the sunset over the blossoms.
7:00 PM | Dinner & Return
Enjoy dinner in the Haenggung area. Afterward, take a taxi back to Suwon Station (about 10 minutes) to catch a fast train (KTX or ITX-Saemaeul) back to Seoul to save time.
Total Estimated Time
Total Duration: 8 to 9 hours (including travel from/to Seoul).
Difficulty: Moderate walking. The path from Hwaseomun to Hwahongmun is easy, but you'll still cover about 4–6km of ground total.
